THE LOWER TOWN DAM had high water levels Tuesday
morning from a flash flood that sent the river into an un-
expected upsurge at a rate of over an inch per hour. No
trouble was experienced at the dam as PUC workmen
were able to remove enough boards to take care of the
crest when it reached Wingham.—A-T photo.
