LANDMARK DISAPPEARS—The old Gorrie shed is being
torn down, marking the end of an era when horses were
in common use. The building was erected 48 years ago
to provide cover for horses and wagons of district farmers
when they came into the village. It was built with money
contributed by many farmers from the area as well as
funds supplied by the Gorrie business community.
