ding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Walker, East
Wawanosh, in Juiy 1904, and this group picture was
taken. Mr. and Mrs. Walker lived on the farm now own-
ed by Gershom Johnston.

St. Helens
On Sunday morning, Rev.
G. Kaiser assisted by Rev. B.
F. Green conducted commun-
ion and baptismal services at
the St. Helens Church. The
children baptized were Ste-
ven Ross, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Ross Durnin; and William Tho-
mas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thos.
Taylor.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Nich-
olson and family of Holstein
were Sunday visitors with their
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon
Miller and other relatives.
Mrs. Tom Todd and Miss
Isobel Miller spent a few days
with their father, Mr. W. I.
Miller, who is a patient in
Victoria Hospital, London.
Mr. and Mrs. Irving Hunter
and Miss Laura Salkeld of God-
erich were callers with relatives
in the village on Saturday.
Vacation School
WHITECHURCH--The Vaca-
tion Bible School being held at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jas.
Richardson was in progress all
last week and despite hot
weather over 90 boys and girls
from the surrounding commu-
nity attended. The school con-
tinues this week.

week with Mrs. Nelson Pickell
at their cottage at Rosalind Lake

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Johnston,

been on a week's camping trip
called on his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Jack Johnston, on Sunday,
on their way to their home at
London. Mr. and Mrs, Ross
McMichael of Seaforth also vi-
sited with them.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ross
and Mack spent the week -end
with Mr. and Mrs. Sig Foien of
Port Credit.
The mothers of the children
attending the Bible School are
invited to attend the closing ex-
ercises on Friday at 2 o'clock
at the home of Mrs. James Ri-
chardson.

Mrs. Mary Chapman Sr. was
this week admitted to Wingham
and District Hospital. Her ma-
ny friends wish her a speedy re-
covery.

their guest, Mrs. Charlotte
Holditch, to visit with Mrs.
Gordon Scott and Mr. Scott of
Ripley on Thursday, Mrs. Hol -
ditch and Mrs. Scott were
school chums at S.S. No. 8,
Langside.
Miss Joanne Laidlaw of
West Wawanosh visited the
first of the week with Mr. and
Mrs, Ezra Scholtz.
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Wright
and Robert of Toronto spent the
week -end with Mr. and Mrs.

Mr. Bob Stacey who was
employed at Berry Door has now
secured employment in Strat-
ford and intends moving there as
soon as housing accommodation
can be found, Mr. and Mrs.
Stacey have been residing on
the farm owned by Mr, and
Mrs. Angus Falconer.
Miss Marlene Martin of Lon-
don spent the week -end with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Don
Martin.

spent the week -end with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Russel
Ross.
Miss Elaine Conn held a
miscellaneous shower for her
friend, Miss Patricia Deyell,
of Wingham on Thursday eve-
ning, Miss Deyell's neighbours
and cousins were invited. Miss
Conn and Miss Deyell had an
apartment together for two
years while they were teaching
in Toronto.
Mr, and Mrs. Johnston Conn
visited on Sunday with Mr. and
Mrs. Ronald Perrott and fami-
ly of Goderich.
Mr. and Mrs. AI Olsen, Ni-
na, Gail and Keith of Livonia,
Michigan, visited on Monday
with Mr. and Mrs. Victor Em-
erson.
Miss Doris Fisher returned
home on Friday after visiting
two weeks with her sister, Mrs. R
Dawson and Mr. Dawson of
Kingston, and one week with
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Fisher of
Guelph.
Mr. Bob Leaver, Toronto,
and Mr. Charles Leaver visited
on Sunday at the Leaver home
on the river road.

B.C. , spent a few days last
