Meets at Church
FORDW ICI I -The Afternoon
Unit of the United church was
held in the Sunday school
rooms with the worship service
conducted by Mrs. Jack Wilson
on the theme, "Christ the
Light of the World". She was
assisted with Scripture reading
by Mrs. C. Sothcrn, Mrs. C.
Bride and Mrs. C. Carswell.
Prayer was offered by Mrs.
Pearl Patterson. A solo "Take
My Hand and Trust in Me" was
sung by Miss Minnie McElwain.
Mrs. Jack Wilson read, "A Tri-
bute to My Country', in recog-
nition of Dominion Day. The
worship centre combined the
two thanes, "The Union Jack,
Thu Christian Flag" and "The
Open Bible and the Lighted
Candle" Mrs. Wm. Wilson
gave a message on Christian
Citizenship.
Mrs. S. Bride presided for
the business period. The roll
call was answered by a verse on
God's World. A motion was
passed to cater to a wedding in
September.
