LAGOON TAKES FORM—The new sewage lagoon being
constructed to the south of town is taking shape as heavy
earth moving machinery makes the excavation. Cover-
ing about 30 acres, the lagoon will receive all the sew-
age from the community, where it will be purified and
the effluent released into the river in a state that will
not pollute the stream. The photographer took the pic-
ture from the air while flying with Bill Cruikshank in
the new plane which he and Stewart Leedham purchased
this spring. No. 86 Highway and the bailey bridges can
be seen cutting across the upper part of the photo.
