NOTICE
TO THE CUSTOMERS OF
WROXETER TELEPHONE COMPANY LIMITED
Application has been made to the Ontario Telephone Service Commission
for increased rates, some of the seasons for which are as follows: Extended
Area Service with the Brussels exchange; plans to carry on with the Com-
mon Battery System and the resulting requirement for new telephones and
buried cable; increase in costs of labour, materials and office administration.
Application has been made to the Ontario Telephone Service Commission
for authority to make the following charges for telephone service effective
as at June 1st, 1964:

(1 1 or more) and Residence 2,70 per month
The above rates for individual and two-party line service will apply only
within the Base Rate Areas which are defined as being:
Business $5.00 per month
Residence 4.00 per month
Business 4,50 per month
Residence 3.50 per month

and Residence 2.85 per month
WROXETER—Within the area bounded by McLauchlan Street to the south,
the Howick-Turnberry Boundary to the west, 400 feet north of Highway 87 to
the north, and the boundary between Lots 15 and Lot 16 to the east.
GORRIE—Within the area of the municipal limits of the Village of
Gorrie and north 300 feet of Highway 87.
If individual or two-party line service is required beyond the above limits,
there will be an additional charge for extra mileage of forty-five cents a month
for each 1/4 mile or fraction thereof for an individual line and twenty-five
cents a month for each 1/4 mile or fraction thereof for each party on a two-
party line.
Rates for supplementary service such as extension telephones and bells,
connection and moving telephones, etc., remain unchanged.
This application will be heard before the Commission at its next regu-
lar meeting in Toronto. Any representations to be made to the Commission
with respect to this application should, therefore, be submitted on or before
May 18, 1964, and addressed to the Chairman, Ontario Telephone Service
Commission, 7 Queen's Park Crescent, Toronto 5, Ontario.
If you desire any further information in reference to the need for in-
creasing the telephone rates, you may apply to the undersigned, either per-
sonally, by telephone, or by letter.

Nickel on Wednesday evening

sold their farm to Ralph Dick-

and are moving to Grimsby.

Homemaking Achievement Day at Howick

Achievement day Marks
Completion of Project
GORRIE-The Sewing Sisters
presented a skit, "How to Plan
a Wardrobe" on Saturday when
the 4-H Achievement Day for
the project, "What Shall I
Wear?" was held in Howick
Central School.
The Gorrie Sewing Plan-
ettes had an exhibit on a well
planned wardrobe for special
occasions, which featured af-
ternoon tea, with Dawna Ben-
nett as commentator.
In all, fourteen clubs par-
ticipated in the event. Other
exhibits on wardrobes for spe-
cial occasions were prepared
by Belmore I with Corinne
Kieffer as commentator; Moles•
worthI and Molesworth 3.
Good lines for one type of
figure were exhibited by Blue -
vale I with Edith Shaw giving
the commentary; Ethel #2
with Jo -Anne Dunn; Lakelet
with Louise McComb as com-
mentator and Molesworth #2
with Mary Doig.
Julie Adams, Sheila France
and Patsy Lurbrigg of Wingham
gave a demonstration on a
well planned shopping trip.
Betty Hetherington, Donna
Mundell, Ann McKercher; El-
aine Snell and Audrey Kirton
gave a demonstration on the
same topic for Bluevale #2.
Belmore 112 demonstrated
how to plan a wardrobe and the
Ethel #1 and Fordwich clubs
exhibited color schemes for
wardrobes.
Miss Patricia Damude, borne.
economist for Iluron County,
was in charge of the day's ac-
tivities. She was assisted by
Mrs. Shirley McAllister of the
Exeter area who commented on
the demonstrations and skits,
and Miss Frances Lampman,
who gave the comments on the
exhibits, Mrs. Norman Mc-
Murchy, president of West Ilur-
on District extended greetings
from flit: Women's Institutes.
The club members model-
led blouses. Mrs. Clarence
Spading was presented with
her leader's certificate.
Huron County pins and cer-
tificates were received by Jane
Woods, Ruth Mathers, Ruth
Anne Taylor, Donna Lh,,,son,
Barbara Doig, Cheryl Haskins,
Marlene Nicholson, Yvonne
Sanders and Lois Ferguson.
These members have com-
pleted six projects.
Six girls were presented with
provincial pins and certificates,
They were Nancy Taylor, Eliz-
abeth Stokes, Pat Gadke, Shar-
on Gadke and Mary Doig. Rose
Marie Bishop was unable to at-
tend but was also a provincial
winner for completing 12 pro-
jects.

are safe if they are used ac-
cording to the manufacturer's
directions, but two kinds should
not he mixed with the idea of
double efficiency. This might
release fumes that could be

Cutcheon were Sunday dinner
guests with Mr. and Mrs. Ver-
non Hupfer. Mr. and Mrs.
Mac Stewart, Molesworth, vis-
ited at the same home.
Mr. and Mrs. George Gib-
son, Murray and Glenis visited
Sunday with Mrs. W. Weir and
Miss Gertrude Bush.
Ross Toman's spent Sunday
with Mr. Wallace Toman of
Baden.
Mr, and Mrs. Chas. Mc-
Cutcheon visited Mr, and Mrs.
Leslie Douglas on Sunday.
Mrs. Allan Munro is a pa-
tient in a London hospital and
Mr. Wm. Edgar is in St, Mi-
chael's Hospital, Toronto, un-
dergoing surgery.
Mr, and Mrs. Glenn McKer-
cher and Miss Margaret Grif-
fith visited Mr. George Griffith
in St. Joseph's Hospital on Sun-
day and Mrs. George Griffith,
who spent last week in London
returned home with them. We
are happy to hear Mr. Griffith
is improved.
Mr. and Mrs. Danny Salter,
Toronto, spent the we ek -end
at their home here.
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. McCut-
cheon attended the funeral of
the late Miss Bessie Wright of
Toronto at the Rann funeral
home on Sunday. Interment
was in Wroxeter Cemetery.
