Flatt is away to the Spring Convention and has asked rile to fill in for this week, so here goes. Practice No.,1 i was held at the town hall, April 28 when 25 singers were present to enjoy the old songs. More work was done on the numbers we will be singing at the church anniversary on May 17, at Ashfield Presbyter- ian Church and these are corn- ing along nicely. Now, if we only knew the words we could do better still. 0--0--0 Business; --We now have 31 men signed for chartering and the red tape will be going to Toronto this week -end. The bill for all this will likely be back by mid May so let's get that mattress filled up so that it is lumpy once again. The executive feels that we should have our chartering parade in the late fall so be thinking about it and any ideas you may have will be welcomed. This is going to be a big job and it has to be done right as first impressions are usually lasting. Lloyd Sillick gave a short speech blasting the non -atten- tive types who are costing us one practice in five (rough es- timate). At the present rate, Hap figures. it will take ten years to catch Kitchener quali- ty -wise and we are sure it is every man's dream to sound like our good friends in the DONNYBROOK Mr. Graham Chamney, Sharon and Elizabeth of God- erich visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Chamney and family. If less time was wasted we could cut the chase in half. I1--II-'ll Plans are to sing at the Kin- cardine Community Sing -Songs this sullnIler and the executive has decided to appear on July 5 and August : 0. /lorry Chap- man asked about appearing at the Kincardine Trade fair at the end of May and this request will likely be filled. Our Kin- cardine members are very steady in attendance, having driven through the worst pos- sible weather in order to be present, and this week I would like to publicly salute them. The same is true of our boys in Teeswater, Lucknow and Brus- sels. 0--0--0 Practice next week will be held in the Lucknow high School and it is hoped that we have a really big turn out. It is hoped also that we get some new faces in our group. News about the convention next week. Keep stacking those chords. PERSONAL PENSION POLICIES ASSURE COMFORTABLE RETIREMENT Consult — Frank C.
