Win 4-H Honors
LAKELET-Honours awarded
Lakelet members at the 4-H
Homemaking Club achieve-
ment day for this district on
the spring project, "What
Shall I Wear", which took
place on Saturday, May 2nd at
Howick Central School. Provin-
cial honours were presented to
two Lakelet members, Patricia
Gadke and Sharon Gadke for
the completion of 12 projects.
County honours were award-
ed to Lois Ferguson for success-
fully completing six projects.

Eight mobile inspection un-
its have taxon to the road to
launch an intensified campaign
for vehicle safety in all parts of
Ontario.
In this expanded Ontario De-
partment of Transport ;lett,
each unit carries full equip-
ment for making ;38 -point
epee,<s of the mechanical con-
dition of cars and trucks, from
headlights and front end to stop
lights and tail pipe. The
equipment w ill he set up in the
form of vehicle check lanes in
centres throughout the province,
in co-operation with local au-
thorities.
The mobile units were an
innovation two years ago. They
have protcd so successful that
Transport Minister Irw in Has-
kett this spring increased the
number of units from five to
eight,
