WHO ARE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS?
The Knights of Columbus is
a fraternal benefit society that
is open to Ronan Catholic
men over the age of 18. It is
governed by a supreme council,
with state councils in each of
the of jurisdictions of North
America and local subordinate
councils. In Canada there is a
state council, with total mem.-
bership over 100, 000.
The order was founded, on
the initiative of the Rev. Mich-

cut in 1882, and it took its
name from the explorer Chris-
topher Columbus. The first
council in Canada was formed
