Thank you notes were read
from hospitalized veterans and
ailing Auxiliary members last
Wednesday night when the La-
dies' Auxiliary to the Legion
met for the monthly meeting.
Mrs. Jack Corrie and Mrs.
Keith McLaughlin were ap-
pointed delegates to attend the
convention in North Bay Sep-
tember 28 to October 1.
The rally in Exeter will be
on April 22 and members are to
meet at the Legion Horne here
at6p.m.
Mrs. George Day won the
membership draw.
Two cars of ladies had at-
tended the card tournament in
Kincardine. Mrs, Day won the
prize for euchre and Mrs. Stew-
art Forsyth for bridge.

men's Missionary Society of
the Hamilton and London Syn-
odical of the Presbyterian
Church in Canada when the an-
nual meeting ta,<es place in
New St, James' Presbyterian
Church, London, on Tuesday,
Wednesday and Thursday, April
7 to 9.
Following the board meet-
ing on Tuesday afternoon, a
complimentary dinner will L e
served to all elected delegates.

As this is the fiftieth artnity-
ersar : of the fo filiation of the.
Women's Missionary Society
(W, D.) and the centennial year
of the W.M.S. of the Presbyter-
ian Church in Canada, which
will be celebrated in Montreal
in May, the program for Wed-
nesday will stress this theme
throughout. At the morning
session Miss Clare Hanes, re-
gional secretary, and ten Pres-
byterial presidents will discuss
the "Vision of the Future."
After luncheon the Sarnia
Presbyterial will review the
first 50 years of Home Mission
Work. Hospital, Hospital,
Port Work, Deaconess and Vans -
Work among the Indians and
Chinese will be portrayed in
pageant form.
The highlight of the evening
session will be Overseas wort in
Nigeria, India, Formosa and
Japan, similarly portrayed,
with music provided by New St.
James' Church.
Thursday morning session
will conclude the business with
the election of officers and
installation h, Rev. D. Mac -
Innes.
WARDROBE WORKERS
WINGHAM- The sixth meet-
ing was held on March 26 with
all members present and Bar-
bara France, the president, op-
ened the meeting in the usual
manner.
Buttonholes and stay stitch-
ing were discussed.
The seventh meeting was on
Monday. Achievement Day
was discussed at the meeting
and the members are making
plans for their part in the event
which will be held at Howict<
Central School.
