Euchre Party
BLUEVALE—The euchre par-
ty given by the Bluevale Recre-
ation Association in the com-
munity hall on Thursday evenin
proved a drawing card to alarge
attendance. There were 20
tables in play.
The prize winners were:high
scores Carl Johnston (playing as
a lady) and Lloyd Taylor; low
scores, Jim McNaughton (play-
ing as a lady and Gordon Wright;
lucky draws, Mrs. C.B. Hoff-
man and Charles Bosman.
The committee in charge
was Mr. and Mrs, Clarence
Goll, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard
Thomas, Mr. and Mrs. Ken
Johnston. The committee made
all arrangements, including de-
licious refreshments.

A motion by Norman and
Wormington that the mill rate
remain the same as in 1963,
commercial 13 milts and resi-
dential and fart,, 11.7 mills was
carried.
It was also voted that the
board meet with the council
and ask council to issue de-
bentures to cover the cost of
completing the Central School.
The following bills were paid:
Teachers' salaries, transporta-
tion, caretakers; Bluevale
Welding, 75c; Alexander's
Hardware, $12.90; Crawford
Motors, $23.47; Ditto of Can-

BOY HOSPITALIZED
WITH FRACTURED LEG
FORDWICH-- Douglas Hard -
ing, 12 -year old son of Mr. and
Mrs. Elmer Harding suffered an
injury while playing at school
which resulted in a bad fracture
between the knee and his left
hip.
Douglas is confined to the
Bruce County Hospital in Walk-
erton. Ile will be in traction
for six weeks and the leg will
be in a cast for two weeks af-
ter that.

At Euchre Club
GORRIE--Nine tables were
in play at the Community Club
euchre on Friday evening. The
winners were Mrs. Gladstone
Edgar and George Hamilton for
high scores and the door prize
was won by Mrs. Elmer J. Far-
rish.
Harold Hyndman was chair-
man for the annual meeting fol-
lowing the euchre. Officers

Howard Pace took as his text,
"Was it not necessary that the
Christ should suffer these things?
Among the thoughts he left
with those present was that our
salvation and redemption from
sins is an inheritance willed to
us by God. But it was necessary
for God, in Christ Jesus, to die
on the cross before we could ob-
tain his bequest.
Special music was provided
by the choir with Miss Phyllis
Pace taking the solo part in the
anthem. 'Mrs. Carl Douglas
