Smith. 20 Tables at Euchre Party BLUEVALE—The euchre par- ty given by the Bluevale Recre- ation Association in the com- munity hall on Thursday evenin proved a drawing card to alarge attendance. There were 20 tables in play. The prize winners were:high scores Carl Johnston (playing as a lady) and Lloyd Taylor; low scores, Jim McNaughton (play- ing as a lady and Gordon Wright; lucky draws, Mrs. C.B. Hoff- man and Charles Bosman. The committee in charge was Mr. and Mrs, Clarence Goll, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Thomas, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Johnston. BOY HOSPITALIZED WITH FRACTURED LEG FORDWICH-- Douglas Hard - ing, 12 -year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Harding suffered an injury while playing at school which resulted in a bad fracture between the knee and his left hip. Douglas is confined to the Bruce County Hospital in Walk- erton. Ile will be in traction for six weeks and the leg will be in a cast for two weeks af- ter that. To Induct Rev. A Good Friday service will be held at 71.30 a.m. On Easter Sunday, service will be held at 11.45 a.m. Good Friday service will be held in Gorrie United Church at 11 a.m. This will be a joint service for Wroxeter and Gorrie congregations. Easter Sunday service will be at 10 a. m. in Gorrie. Communion Held At United Church BELMORE --A good-sized congregation attended Palm Sunday Communion services in the United Church. Partaking in the services were congrega- ,ions from this church and from Macintosh United. Rev, G. Howard Pace took as his text, "Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things? Among the thoughts he left with those present was that our salvation and redemption from sins is an inheritance willed to us by God. But it was necessary for God, in Christ Jesus, to die on the cross before we could ob- tain his bequest. Special music was provided by the choir with Miss Phyllis Pace taking the solo part in the anthem.
