THREE NEWSMEN last week visited the
Chalk River research centre of Atomic En-
ergy of Canada Limited on the Ottawa River
and Canada's first nuclear power plant, the
Nuclear Power Demonstration Station near
Rolphton. Host for the tour was AECL.
Discussing the project at Chalk River with
Dr. D. A. Keys, scientific advisor to the
president, left to right are: E. S. McCannel,

Comrade Geo. Brooks, who
is zone sports chairman as well
as branch sports chairman, has
a busy schedule. On Feb. 22
the Zone C1 bowling playoffs
will be held in Wingham and
on March 18th the John Patti-
son trophy will be presented to
the winning team at the branch
annual curling bonspiel in Wing -
ham.
Their is euchre every Wed-
nesday evening at the Legion
Horne for members and their
guests starting at 8.30 p. m.
sharp. The next regular meet-
ing will be on February 25th at
8.30 p.m., and all members
are requested to make this a
night of real comradeship.
