Mission Story
BLUEVALE—The Mission
Band met in Knox Presbyterian
Church on Sunday with 19 mem-
bers present. The offering was
taken by Glen Campbell and
dedicated with a unison prayer.
Mrs. Glen McKercher told
a Bible story to the pre-school
children. Mrs. Ross Mann read
a mission story to the older
members. It told of three sis-
ters in India who were left all
day to care for their baby broth-
er. He choked on a twig and
the girls took him to the clinic
where a doctor and a nurse at-
tended to him.
While the girls waited for
their brother to have a rest they
found a chapel near the clinic
and gave thanks to God for
saving their brother.

LOWEST TO HIGHEST
The rank of Field Marshall
is the highest military rank of
many countries. But, the En-
cyclopedia Americana says,
the term has very humble ori-
gin. It comes from the Ger-
man "mara schalh," meaning a
servant of horses or a groom.
