Mr. Claude Coffin and John returned with Mr. George Cof- fin and Sharon to Hespler on Friday, and on Sunday Mrs. Coffin and Alex went to the same home, where they are spending the Christmas holi- days. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Coultes and Diane spent Christmas at the home of her brother, Mr, and Mrs. Melvin Kerry of Pais- ley. In our last issue an error oc- curred stating Mrs. George Phillips had been hospitalized. This should have been Mr. George Phillips, who, we are happy to report, had been re- leased after a few days in hos- pital. Mr. Eldon Emerson complet- ed sailing operations on the Baie St. Paul on Tuesday. The boat tied up at Penetanguishene and he returned home from there. Mr, and Mrs, Ezra Scholtz celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary on Tuesday. The community extends congratu- lations and wishes them many mere years of wedded life. Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Scholtz were in Goderich on Monday attending the funeral of his sis- ter, Margaret's husband, Mr. John Fielder, with burial in Goderich cemetery. We are happy to report Mr. Alex Leaver was able to return to his home before Christmas, after being hospitalized at Wingham for nearly three months. • FORDWICH (Intended for last week) Mr. and Mrs. Carl Jacobson, Kurt and David and Mr. Alois Jacobson left Friday for Tramp- ling Lake, Sask., where they will spend the next couple of weeks with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. George Wipp and family of Galt visited Sun- day with Mrs. Pearl Patterson. Mrs. Ruby Foster is spending the week with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Foster and Misses Jean and Marjorie Foster at Willowdale. Friends of Mrs. Garn King will be sorry to hear that she is again confined to Palmerston Hospital, suffering from a heart seizure. Mr. and Mrs. George Pitten- dreigh were in London on Fri- day. Friends of Mr. Curtis Jordan will be pleased to know he was able to return home last week from Palmerston Hospital, where he had been confined for several weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Murray Kirky of Kingston visited over the week -end with Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Johnson and on Monday left for Sudbury to spend Christ- mas with the former's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Mason of Listowel were Sunday visitors at the same home. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Ridley and Mrs. Phyllis Bolander, John and Don left Tuesday for Orillia where they will spend Christ- mas with Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Lynn. Mrs. Peter Brown visited Mon- day with relatives in Willowdale. Mr, Henry Mundt left last Friday from Malton airport for Germany to visit his mother and other members of his family for the next three weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Douglas and family visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Newton in Clifford. Miss Elizabeth Armstrong of Stratford visited Monday with her parents.
