Belgrave United Church has
been postponed till November
24, due to the illness of Rev.
Jackson.

io Federation annual meeting
held in the Royal York Hotel in
Toronto.
The public relations meet-
ing of the Belgrave Women's
Institute will be held Nov. 19

president.

Legion Auxiliary
Holds Nominations
FORDWICH--The November
meeting of Howiek Legion Aux-
iliary was held Monday night in
the Legion rooms with Mrs.
Alex Graham presiding. Re-
ports were given by Mrs. Mel,
Allan on proceeds from the ba-
zaar and Hallowe'en dance.
The mystery prize was won
by Mrs. Jack Clarke, donated
by Mrs. Emma Williamson. A
committee was named to pur-
chase silverware and a waste
paper basket for the hall, Plans
were completed for the joint
supper and social evening to be
held in the Legion rooms on
November 11th. Plans were al-
so
lso made for a church service in
Fordwich Anglican Church at
10 a.m., November 11th.

Initiation at
CIT Meeting
BELGRAVE—The C.G.I, T.
of Knox United Church met for
the regular meeting on Friday
evening. Marilyn Taylor con-
ducted games.
The meeting opened with
C. G . I. T. hymn, purpose,
Scripture and prayer. Nancy
VanCamp led in a song -song,
followed by the secretary's re-
port. Sunday school and church
attendance were recorded.
Joyce Procter gave thetreasur-
er's report.
Committees for the next
meeting are: singsong, Mari-
lyn Taylor; games, Lynda
Coultes; worship, Doreen Pat-
tison. The meeting will be on
November 25. The bazaar will
be held on November 29 and
the girls are requested to take
their stuffed toys to the next
meeting.
The initiation service was
conducted by Mrs. ArthurJack-
son, New members initiated
were Mary Ellen Walsh, Joan
Bosman, Ruth Ann Pletch,
Joyce Coultes.
The girls then divided into
two groups for Bible study, Mrs.
Arthur Jackson leading the sen-
iors and Mrs. Cliff Logan lead-
ing the intermediates. The
worship service with the theme,
"Remembrance" , was led by
Joyce Procter assisted by Bren-
da VanCamp. Joyce opened
with the call to worship and
read the poem "In Flanders
Fields" and commented on it.
Brenda VanCamp read the Scrip-
ture and Joyce Coultesand Ruth
Ann Pletch received the offer-
ing which was dedicated by
Joyce. "God of Our Fathers"
was sung and the benediction
pronounced by Joyce, The
meeting closed with taps.

On Presbyterial
BELGRAVE--The Afternoon
Unit of the United Church Wo-
men met at the church on Wed-
nesday with 18 members pre-
sent, The meeting was opened
by the leader, Mrs. Stewart
Procter with prayer.
The secretary's report was
given by Mrs. Jesse Wheeler
and the treasurer's report was
read and adopted. Mrs. Arthur
Jackson suggested that the unit
sell cook books and note paper.
Mrs. Stewart Procter gave a
comprehensive report of the
Huron Presbyterial held in Brus-
sels on October 10. Mrs. Jack-
son conducted the Bible study
on "The Love of God". Mrs.
Leslie Bolt took the lesson from
the study book, the subject be-
ing India:

Was Buried in Listowel Cemetry
FORDWICH--Funeral service
was held on November 4 at the
Reed and McLaughlin funeral
home in Listowel for Henry L.
Campbell, who died Saturday,
November 2, in the Ilarriston
Nursing Home. Rev. S. J.
Stewart officiated and inter-
ment was in Fairview Cemetery,
Listowel.
Deceased was born in Wal-
lace Township 84 years ago, a
son of the late Alexander Camp-
bell and Margaret Scott. He
married Mary Ellen Elliott on
June 14, 1904 in Grey Town-
ship, who predeceased him,
Mr. Campbell was a mem-
ber of St. Andrew's Presbyter.

survived by three daughters,
Mrs. G. W, (Helen) Trowsdale
of Stratford, Mrs. Wm, (Jean)
Edgar of Wroxeter, and Mrs.
Jaek (Marian) Hoffman of llar-
riston; two sons, St. Clair
Campbell of Molesworth and
Robert, Howick Township; nine
grandchildren and seven great
grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs,
Alice Hamilton of Paris.
