Wright and sons of Turnberry Twp. visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Harris. Mr. Nelson Hunkin, Tees - water, called on Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gowdy on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Halliday, Kitchener, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gowdy on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Will, Vicky and Douglas of Kings- ville spent the week -end with Mr. and Mrs. Justin Will. Mr, Bert Hubbard visited his aunt Mrs. Wm. Ries in Palmer- ston Hospital on Sunday. Mrs. Fred Fiedler, Brandon, Man., and Mr. Harold Schmau4 Gypsonville, Man., spent sev- eral days with their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bo - lander, and other relatives. Mr. Donald Kestle, Margaret, Billy and Barbara, Mrs. Laurie Bur- rell and Sheila of Elderson visit- ed at the same home. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. War- wick, Brussels, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Petrie spent Saturday in Stratford. Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Edgar, Grand Prairie, Alta. , who came East by jet plane and visited Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Edgar and other relatives, left Monday to motor home. Mr. Oliver Nuhn, Palmer- ston, visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Nuhn. Mr, and Mrs. Ambrose O'- Connor and Gwen of Oakville visited Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Fin- lay, Mr. Finlay returned with them for a week's visit. Rev. and Mrs. W. J. C. Mc- Clure, o-Clure, Whitby, called on Mrs. Mary Taylor and Mrs. Chas. Finlay on Remembrance Day. Rev. and Mrs. Fred Taylor spent a few days at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Snel- grove of Dunrobin. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Grainger, Gregg and Janet of Wallaceburg, spent the week- end with Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Grainger. Mr. and Mrs. How- ard Grainger, Detroit, Mich., called Sunday at the same home., Miss Joanne Marks, Wing - ham, spent the week -end with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Strong. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Head, Kim, Tad and Kelly of Sarnia, were recent visitors at the same home, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Sitzes, Valerie and Dean of Petrolia spent the week -end with Mr. and Mrs. Murray Edgar. Mr. and Mrs. B. Pipher and Peter of Oshawa, Mr. and Mrs. Selah Breckenridge, Jamestown, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Fields, Lambeth, were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Camer- on Edgar. Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Walker and Brian, Brampton, visited Saturday with Mrs. Lorne Wal- ker. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Bell, Allan, Terry and Carol, Guel- ph; Mr. and Mrs. Duff Bell of Brampton, Mr. Wm. Taylor, Milton, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley GORRIE—The regular meet- ing of the Gorrie-Fordwich branch of the A. Y. P. A. met on Sunday night in St. Stephen's'. Church here with 18 members present. The president, Sharon Hub- bard, was in charge of the %meeting. Roly Bennett read the Scriptures. The minutes of the last meeting were read by the secretary, Kenneth Anderson I' and were approved. Bryan Un- derwood gave the treasurer's report. Plans for the bowling party on November 29 were discussed The membership fees were set. Plans were discussed for the church service for the installa- tion of officers. The study book, "What is a Christian and a beginning on the Anglican Faith", was con- ducted by Sharon Hubbard. The business part of The meeting was closed by the presi- dent. Ronnie Bennett conduct- ed the games. Lunch was serv- ed by Andy Allan, Ronnie Fer- guson and Marlene Douglas. Film Shown GORRIE—The film, "The Martyrdom of Stephen", the first Christian martyr, was shown Sunday evening in the Gorrie United Church to the teenage Sunday School class. Rev. Fred W. Taylor led the discussion. On December 8, the film, "Keeping Christmas Christian" will be shown. Glousher and Debbie of Blyth were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Alex. Taylor on Sunday.
