The concert committee con- sists of George Michie, Mrs. Cliff Purdon, Mrs. Bill Elston, Mrs. Nora Moffatt and Mrs. Phyllis Rodgers. Marie Coolies Leads Discussion BELGRAVE--The regular meeting of the Hi -C Group met in the church school room, Ruth Michie led a sing -song, accompanied by Lorne Camp- bell. Minutes of the last meet- ing were read by Lorne Camp- bell and the treasurer's report was given by Jim Taylor. The next meeting will be in two weeks when Dave Heming- way of Brussels, a representa- tive from National Young Peoples' Conference, will ad- dress the group. Marie Coultes was in charge of the meeting. The theme was "Growing up Emotionally". A panel discussion was led by Marie, and Bob Taylor and Luke Muilwyke were the mem- bers taking part. The worship service took the form of an Old English Morality Play with Marie Coultes, Gordon Camp- bell and Marjorie Hopper tak- ing part. Bob Taylor and Luke Muil- wyke received the offering. "Take My Life and Let It Be" was sung and Marie led inpray- er. Games were led by Marie and the meeting closed with taps. When a lighted match is held above a 116 -foot well in Milton, Ohio, flames, possibly caused by an underground natural gas pocket mixing into the well, dance above the water which a local family has been drinking for 15 years with no apparent ill effects. Credit Union Holds Banquet BELGRAVE—Each year on the third Thursday of October Credit Union members around the world give special thought to the many benefits which the Credit Union provides. Clark Johnston entertained with two Irish songs. Door prizes were won by Gary Freeman, Clinton; C. Trevors, Clinton and John Nixon, Belgrave. Singing of the Queen closed the evening. Invite Guests to Fall Thank offering FORDWICH—The Fall Thank - offering service of Fordwich United Church was held on Wed- nesday night. Mrs. William Wilson presided. They had as guests, Trinity Anglican W.A. and St. Anne's Guild, Mayne U.C.W. and Newbridge U.C. W. The worship service was taken by Mrs. Wm. Wilson, Mrs, K, Graham, Mrs. S. Bride and Mrs. Jack Wilson, A solo was rendered by Mrs. Jack Wilson. Mrs. Lloyd Stapleton, wife of Rev. Stapleton 'of Listowel, was the guest speaker. She spoke on the United Church tour to Bermuda and Trinidad and showed pictures. Plans were made to cater to a reunion banquet for the C.G, 1, T. later in October and to cater for the officials at the time of the opening of the new Ilow ick Central School. At the close of the meeting the ladies were invited to the Sunday School rooms for a social hour.
