WROXETER—The September
meeting of the Wroxeter W.I.
was held at the home of Mrs.
Thos. Burke on the afternoon of
September 10, with Mrs. Wm. '
T. McLean in the president's
chair.
The meeting opened with
the singing of the Institute Ode,
followed by repeating the Mary
Stewart Collect.
Mrs. J. H. Wylie gave a
splendid paper on the past his-
tory of the Institute, the many
accomplishments of a small
group, also how ably many had
filled and refilled the different
offices.
The roll call, a gift for the
Cancer Cupboard and a current
event, brought an excellent
response. The motto, " The
greatest wisdom is still kind-
ness",was very ably taken by
.Mrs. Walter P. Davisson. She
remarked that the wisdom of
being kind was much superior
to the wisdom of being wise.
Mrs. N. McMurchy, intro-
duced by Mrs. Thos. Burke and
thanked by Mrs. Allan Munro,
gave some thoughts to rememb-
er on Institute work.
A contest, prepared by Mrs.
Harvey Reidt and conducted by
Mrs. Wm. Wright was enjoyed
by all, Mrs. Wm. Taylor and
Mrs. W. P. Davisson receiving
the prizes. Mrs. J. H. Wylie
thanked all who helped make
the meeting a success. The
meeting closed with repeating
the Institute grace. Hostesses
for the afternoon were Mrs.
Wm. Taylor and Mrs. Harvey
Timm.
