"Everyone's switching to Canadian products" ISI; shoppers know that every dollar spent on Canadian goods keeps Canadians working. This is one big reason why every- one is switching to Canadian goods. A second reason is that most imported products have a Canadian equivalent— equal in price, design and quality. Canada now produces almost everything. If each of us in Ontario diverted an additional $2 a week from imported to domestic goods, the result could total $600,000,000 in new Canadian manufac- turing and that should create 60,000 new jobs. Buy a hippo if you must, but before you do, consider the Canadian alternatives. If the price, design and quality are right, buy the product that is marked "Made in Canada." You help yourself, your neighbour and the whole province by switching to the product made here. MORE OPPORTUNITY ONTARIO GOVERNMENT TRADE CRUSADE Gorrie Mr. and Mrs. Robert Grasby Niagara; Mr. Wm. Sewer Project Continued from Page One done immediately, as the con- tractor, Cornell Construction, is standing by waiting to get started, If OWRC can wind up the paper work this week, the Mayor said he had hopes the contractor would be on the job early next week. Tentative agreement has been reached with the contrac- tor to start on the required work on Summit Drive in order that new houses in that area may be served as soon as possible. It is also understood that the con- tractor is very anxious to get to work on the force main across the ,rairie this fall so that the work would be com- pleted this year and avoid pro- blems which would arise with flooding in the spring. The cost of the work will be approximately $32,200.00 which will mean an actual cost to the town of just about $30,000.00 after the writeoff of $22,000.00 by the Central Mortgage and Housing Corpor- ation. The project is being financ- ed by CMHC and repayment of the loan will be made out of revenue partly raised on asset- ment and partly on water rates. At the moment it does not ap- pear that the project will raise local taxes appreciably, and while water rates will go up, the rise is not drastic.
