The girls were chosen on the basis of personality, showmanship and 4-H achievements. Belgrave Personais Miss Pat Bok of Fergus is visiting with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Purdon. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Math- ers and family of Scarborough spent the week -end with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Pengelly and Mr. and Mrs. Mel. Mathers. Mr. and Mrs. James Coultes and Audrey, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Wheeler and Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Coultes attended the Anderson reunion at Princeton on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Bolt attended centennial services at McIntosh United Church on Sunday and later attended the memorial service. The Rt. Rev. J. W. A. Howe, M. A. , B. D. , Bishop of St. Andrew's, Perth, Scotland, who is in Canada attending the Anglican Congress in Toronto, will be guest preacher in Trin- ity Church, Belgrave, on Sun- day, August 4th at the 11 a.m. service. Mrs. James D. McCrea of Port Credit spent Sunday with his aunts, Mrs. A. M. Perdue and Miss Frances McCrea. Miss Donna and Ernie Cook of London are visiting with Mr. Charlie Cook. Mrs. Margaret Riddell of Arcola, Sask. , is visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Stone- house and other Belgrave rela- tives. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Stone - Morris Residents Enjoy Bus Trip BELGRAVE--Wendy Fear, Brian Hopper and Frank Procter were the three"members from Morris, who, along with 38 others and eight members of the Huron County Hog Produc- ers, attended the Huron County Hog Producers' bus trip for the 4-H Swine Club Members on Thursday. Members boarded the bus between the hours of 6 and 7 a, m. and the first stop was the Ontario Hog Producers Coopera- tive head office in Toronto, where the members were intro- duced to'methods of selling hogs in Ontario and toured the offices. Dinner was served, courtesy of the O,1 I. P. C. , and they then visited Canada Pack- ers Limited and saw the hogs leaving the trucks, slaughtered, dressed, and the making of lard. The whole process proved very educational and interesting, Next stop was Black Creek Pioneer Village where the members saw how things were done a good number of years ago, They also enjoyed a ride on a wagon, drawn by horses. 'I'ltcy had supper in Kitchener and were hack in 1lurou County at 8.00. house, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Coultes, Mr. and Mrs. Will- iam Coultes and family all attended the Rath reunion held on Saturday at Springbank Park, London. Mrs. Charles Hallam and family of Lucknow visited with Mrs. Julia McNall and Mich- ael, on Sunday. Twenty-eight members of the McGuire family held a family get-together at Barrie on Lake Simcoe, on Sunday. Those attending from Belgrave were Mr. and Mrs. Sam Pletch and family and Mr, and Mrs. Harry McGuire. Mr. and Mrs. Allan Lechin- sky, Debbie, Wendy, Kevin and Michael, of Regina, Sask., are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. George Cook, and other rela- tives. Contributions To Arena Fund BELGRAVE-A euchre and dance was held in the Forest- er's Hall on Friday. Music for dancing was supplied by the Community Orchestra. Prizes for the euchre went to: High lady, Mrs, Clem Galbraith; low lady, Mrs. James Coultes; high man, Clem Galbraith; low man, Clifford Coultes. Dunlop of Rockwood will be guest speaker. Rev. Dunlop was a former minister of this charge about 17 years ago and many will remember him, Sunday Aug. 4. INSTITUTE MEETS Miss C. McGowan Speaks on C.A.S. BELGRAVE--The health meeting of the Belgrave Wom- en's Institute was held on Tues- day of last week in the Com- munity Centre, with the presi- dent, Mrs. Cliff Logan, in charge. The meeting opened with the Mary Stewart Collect followed by the Institute Ode. Minutes and treasurer's re- ports were given by Mrs. Earl Anderson, A thank you note was read from Miss Isabelle Gil- christ for the money received for her departing gift. An invitation was read and accept- ed from the Blyth Institute to meet with them on August 1, at 2:30 p.m. A donation of $10.00 was voted to the Sal- vation Army Band. Mrs. Richard Procter report- ed on the district annual held at Dungannon. It was decided that the institute would help sponsor the Foster Parent Plan in the district. It was announced that the fall rally would be held in Goderich and that the district annual would be held next year in Belgrave. Mrs. O. G. Anderson reminded the members that the payment was now due for the Co -Op Medical Plan and the reason the rate had been increased was increas- ed benefits. The penny col- lection for Mental Health was received and also the regular collection. Mrs. Stanley Black was con- vener for the meeting. She stressed that any Christmas gifts sent to Goderich should be sent in November at the latest, Mrs, Cliff Purdon thanked the guest speaker. The Queen and Institute grace was sung and lunch was served by Mrs. Ivan Wightman, Mrs. Cliff Purdon and Mrs. Herson Irwin. Henry: Hi, Jim. Haven't seen you in years. Who are you working for now?
