W. E. Whitfield read the min- utes of the last meeting, the court of revision and the special meeting. Kenneth and Donald Walker of Galt were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Russell Walker. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Busby and family of Mild- may spent Sunday at the same home. Miss Nancy Newton, London, is spending her vacation with her mother, Mrs. R. Newton. Mrs. Rick Wilkins and Shel- ley and Master Brian Mason of Sarnia spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. Art Wheeler. Bluevale Personals During July union services will be held in Bluevale United Church with the two congre- gations. Rev. E. M. Kennedy of Knox Presbyterian Church will preach. Visitors on Sunday with Mrs. M. L. Aitken were Mr, and Mrs. Donald Street and family of Listowel, Rev. G. C. Mitchell and Mrs. Mitchell visited Sarnia and Toronto last week. On Sunday members of the 19th Regiment enjoyed a social meeting and barbecue at the farm of Alex Corrigan, follow- ing the church service in the United Church. Misses Evelyn and Margaret Brown of Toronto, are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Gannet. Mr, and Mrs. Irving Mc- Cabe and Brian, of Windsor, visited at the week -end with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Jobuston. Miss Marilyn Lillow of Stratford visited Miss Mary Lillow. Shower for Bonnie Edgar WROXETER—Misses Helen McGee and Dawn Lue Clark were hostesses at a shower held at the McGee home for Miss Bonnie Edgar, bride -elect of this month, on Saturday. Contests were enjoyed and then Bonnie, who was seated in a decorated chair, 'opened her many beautiful and usefulgifts. Aitken attended the funeral ser- vice for the late Mr. Charles Aitken at Kincardine on Monday Mr. and Mrs. Ross Mann visited their son Harvey at Jun- ior Cadet Camp, Picton, Rainbow Club Annual Picnic The annual picnic of the Rainbow Club was held at the Wingham town park recently, with 23 members and 17 visitors attending. Harold Jardin, Free Press carrier, drew the winners from the sale of tickets. Iris Purdon won the pictures by Woods, Mervin McCauley won the magazine rack and Mrs. Arthur Rock won the wall plaque. Grace Cook won a lovely Afri- can violet plate for selling the most tickets. Youngest grandmother was Georgina Crothers. There were three ladies to claim the prize for the member of longest standing. The decision went to Estella Cowan, who had the most articles in her purse.
