Anderson Speaks to WA Topic Is Church Attendance GORRIE--" Forget not the as- sembling of yourselves together" was the subject of a talk given by the Rev. G, A. Anderson at the June meeting of St. Ste- phen's W. A. , held at the home of Mrs. Chas. Lawrence. "The prayer book states age, infirm- ity and sickness are the only excuses for non-attendance at church. Something W.A. members can do as a witness is to give thanks and praise to God; pray for things necessary; listen to God's holy word and hear a sermon each Sunday." Mrs. Edward Newton read the Scripture and roll call was answered with a verse from the book of Job. Mrs. Gordon Underwood led in prayer and Litany. Letters of thanks for shipments to the Indian Residential School at Cardston, Alberta and to the Mohawk Institute, Brantford were read, also notes of thanks from friends. Mrs. G. A. Anderson read of the help given in India by church and W.A. to flood suf- ferers last August and again the work done for the Indian sold- iers during the attack by the Chinese on their northern bor- der.
