man of Plattsville and Wallace
Toman of Baden, to Walkerton
on Sunday.
Mrs. George Hart, Newry,
was a Sunday guest of Mr. and
Mrs. Wm. Hart.
Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Robert-
son, Jimmy and Scott of God-
erich, were week -end visitors
at the home of Mr. John Hup-
fer. Mrs. Angus Carmichael
accompanied them to Mrs.
Alonzo Sparling's, and with the
latter visited at the home of
Mr. John Hupfer on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ross Coates
were in Listowel Sunday, where
they visited Mr. and Mrs. John
Lucas.
Mr. and Mrs. Ron McMich-
ael were in Don Mills on Satur-
day, attending the 1952 class
reunion of Listowel High School
upper school, which was held
at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Harvey Bride.
Mr. and Mrs. Dean Karn and
family were visitors with the
former's grandparents, at Han-
over, one day recently.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Simpson,
Molesworth, visited Mrs. Frank
F. Wright recently.
Mr. and Mrs. Ross Coates
spent the holiday week -end
with Mr. and Mrs. LloydMaple-
toft, Millbrook.
We are sorry to hear Mr.
John Riley of Jamestown is a pa-
tient in Wingham Hospital and
we wish him a speedy recovery.

of Kitchener.
Miss Bonnie Edgar of Water-
loo, Misses Helen McGee and

spent the week -end at their
respective homes.
Miss Anne Douglas, Copper
Cliff, was home for the week-
end with her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Leslie Douglas and at-
tended the Statia - Moffat
wedding in Wroxeter United
Church.
Mr. Will Ringlet visited his
daughter, Mrs. John Jefferson,
Mitchell, for a few days and is
now visiting relatives in Wind-
sor and Detroit.
Mr. and Mrs. Lou Hutton
and Linda of Wingham were
supper guests at the home of
Mr. John Hupfer on Monday.
Brenda Townsend and Rickey
Clarke were taggers for the
Wingham Hospital Tag Day on
Saturday. Thanks to the Wrox-
eter people for their support of
this worthwhile cause.
Mrs. Frank Graham, St.
Marys was a Sunday visitor
with Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Hig-
gins.
Mr. and Mrs. Robt Mowbray
and family, Kitchener, with
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Reidt,
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Edgar and
son of Kitchener, visited with
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Coupland.

of Toronto and Mrs. Bessie Wil-

day with Mr. and Mrs. Hilliard

To Former Member
DONNYBROOK—On Thurs-
day afternoon nine ladies of
the U.C. W. and their children
went to the home of Mrs. May
Thompson, Goderich, who hadll„„, .,
been a former member of the
society until her removal to
Goderich. Mrs. Margaret Led-
dy read the address and Mrs.
Stuart Chamney presented her
with a Life Membership certi-
ficate and pin. Although ta-
ken completely by surprise,
Mrs. Thompson made a fitting
reply. She then served lea to
the ladies, assisted by Mrs.
Morley Johnston and Mrs. Ray
Hanna.
Prior to this Mrs. Thompson
and her son, Howard, had been
invited to attend a card party
in No. 3 school in West Wawa -
nosh, where they were present-
ed with a swivel rocker and a
smoker by their former neigh-
bors and friends of the district.
Both expressed their thanks for
the lovely gifts. Lunch was
served by the ladies and a so-
cial time enjoyed by all.
