A number of contest$, con- 4dx:ted by Mrs. Clifford Brewer d Miss Mary Hamilton, of Bluevale, and Mrs. Alvin Gamble, of Listowel, provided entertainment. These friends of the bride also displayed the many gifts. Miss Thompson and her mo- ther had places of honor under white streamers and wedding bells, They were assisted in opening the gifts by little Gail McLennan, niece of the bride. Delicious refreshments were served. Six un- graded schools and one graded school (Central School) com- peted. J. H. Kinkead, I.P.S., was chairman, Ed. Ferguson, Baden Ont, , adjudicator and Mrs. Nora Moffatt, music supervisor, was accompanist. Dear Sir, This is to tell you I am home from Beck Memorial Sanatarium and thank you for having the Advance -Times sent to me while confined to hospital. I am unaware who the kind donner was, but I am more grateful than I can say for the thoughtfulness shown by having the paper sent.
