She was assisted by Mrs. Flora Durnin and Mrs. Ian McAllister, former home economists of Huron. The afternoon session was devoted to several skits and exhibits: Belmore 1, exhibit, "Good Quality in Cottons ", with Lorna Woods, commenta- tor; Colwanash, skit, "Good Posture", Anne Ritchie, com- mentator; Belgrave 1, exhibit, "How to Look Your Best", Donna Grasby, commentator; Belmore 11, skit, "Selection of Material for Dusters", all members participating; Ethel, exhibit, "Good Quality in Cot- tons", Gloria Jacklin, com- mentator. Gorrie 1, demonstration, "Good Posture", Ruth Anne Taylor, Margaret Ann Wilson, Lyn Johnson, Helen Thornton, participants; Belgrave 11, skit, "Making the Most of Our Clothes", all members taking part; Bluevale 1, exhibit, "Good Quality in Cotton", Kathy Craig, commentator; Bluevale 11, demonstration, "Shoes and Stockings", Gale Kirton, Betty Hetherington, Mary Lillow, Donna Mundell, Ann McKercher, participating; Fordwich, exhibit, "How to Look Your Best", Karen Cars- well, commentator. St. Helens, demonstration, "Selection of Material for Dus- ter", Patricia Lippert and Jan- ice Fowler participants; Lake - let, exhibit, "How to Look Your Best", Kay Harkness, commentator; Wingham, skit, "Shoes and Stockings", all members taking part. Comments on exhibits and skits were given by Mrs. Flora Durnin and Mrs. McAllister. The presentation of county honour pins and certificates was made by Miss Isabelle Gilchrist to Karen Carswell, Fordwich; Mary Broome, Col- wanash; Janette Wright, Lake - let; Corinne Kieffer, Belmore; Margaret Nicholson, Belgrave; Wendy Fear, Belgrave; Linda Little, Colwanash; Cheryl Jacklin, Ethel; Nancy Dorscht and Nancy Cranston, St, Helens. The presentation of provin- cial honour pins and certifi- cates, and Encyclopedia Britan- nica year book was made by Mrs. Harold Wallace, secretary East Huron District Women's Institute, to Carlyle Menary, Colwanash; Anne Peacock, Bluevale; Dorothy Thompson, Bluevale; Lucille Merkley, Wingham; Mary Taylor, Wing - ham; Gwen Hyndman, Margar- et Wilson, Joanne Strong, Gor- rie. Minister Speaks On Trinidad WHITECHURCH—Friends from St. Helens United Church and from the Presbyterian Church attended the meeting in the United Church here on Wednesday evening, when Rev. Jorgenson, a missionary from Trinidad, told of their life with the people there, and showed many beautiful pictures of the surroundings, churches and people, and their interest- ing efforts to further Christian- ity in that land. Lunch was served and a social half-hour enjoyed by all. Special Music On Family Day WHITECHURCH—At the Family Day service in the Uni- ted Church on Sunday after- noon, Rev. G. C. Mitchell baptized Lori Jane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Schwich- tenberg of Port Elgin, and Rose- mary Adrienne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Colyer. The junior choir sang "Brighten the Corner where You Are", and Mr. G. E. Far- rier and Wayne gave a saxa- phone duet, "Bless this House". Mr. Mitchell, spoke of life, and women in the home, in the past and at the present, and the different responsibilities of the ages. St. Helens Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hawley and Leslie Anne of Oshawa spent Mother's Day with Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Woods. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Miller and Larry spent the week -end with Mr. and Mrs. W. I. Mil- ler and Mr. and Mrs. Chester Taylor. Rev. B. F. Green conducted a baptismal service on Sunday morning at the Mother's Day service. Douglas Gerald and Donald William, twin sons of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Dorscht; Bradley Douglas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Humphrey; Murray Raymond, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Gibb and Lynn Elliott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Allan Miller, were the children baptized. Mr. Ross Errington, County Master of North Huron Lodges, attended the Grand Orange Lodge of Ontario West sessions held at Fern Resort near Orillia on May 9th - llth.
