The meeting; was opened with the Explorers' Motto, Paul Moffatt rctrlvt'd the offering and it was dedicat- ed with the unison prayer. The Scripture test was Exodus 22: 21 and after the COMM: MILS, Mrs. Ross Gray coir tinned with the story of 'Tiger Tail Village. The chapter was entitled, "The Second Escape". The children started out again to find Tiger 'fail Village and their uncle, with whom they were to live. They searched in vain for their uncle and were disappointed when they couldn't find him. The children had to find something to cat. A pupil was asked to para- phrase the sentence: "Ile was bent on seeing her," Ile wrote: "The sight of her doubled him up." F. JOHN BATESON, District Commander of District "C" Royal Canadian Legion, of Wingham, placed a wreath at the Cenotaph during ceremonies by district Legion representatives on Sunday. The service was part of the organization's district convention which was held in Wingham for the first time.—A-T Photo. Bluevale Personals Mr. and Mrs. Lyle McKin- ney, of Northcliffe, Mich., and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Grif- fiths, of Guelph, were week- end visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bosman. Mr. and Mrs, Jim McKinney and daughter, Toronto, visited Mr. and Mrs. R. E. McKinney at their summer home in Blue - vale. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Webb, Barry and Brenda of Painswick, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Hoffman. Bobby Bitton of Wingham, visited Harvey Mann at the week -end. Mrs, Margaret Ogram has returned to Toronto after spend- ing some weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Greenaway and Miss Dorothy. Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Mc- Tavish of London, Mrs. Alex Armstrong of Brussels,with Mr. and Mrs. R. H. McKinnon of Mrs. B. Thomas Presides at WMS BLL'EV:1LE—The May meet- ing of the Presbyterian W.M.S. was held in the Sunday school room with Mrs. Bernard Tho- mas presiding. Site opened the meeting with the theme, "Companionship", relating to Matt. 25: 40, "And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." Responsive reading was taken from Matt 25: 31-41. M. roll call was answered with a current event in mis- sions. Mrs. R. J. McMurray read the minutes of the last meeting. Mrs. Eldred Nichol, assisted by Mrs. Wit. Rohert- sun, presented the topic, "Koreans in Japan". Mrs, Wit. Elston gave the Scripture reading and continents, and Mrs. John Brent led in prayer. The offering was taken up by Mrs. McMurray and dedicated by Mrs. Thomas. A by nut was sung and Mrs. Thomas closed the meeting with a benediction. Bluevale, attended the funeral service for Dr. Ralph Robertson of Collingwood, on Saturday. Ross Smith was a recent visitor in Hensall. Mission Band BLUEVALE—The Mission Band of Knox Presbyterian Church met on Sunday with an attendance of seventeen and one visitor. The offering was received by Donna De Vos and dedicated with unison prayer. Mrs. Glenn McKercher had charge of the Juniors and Mrs. Ross Mann told a mission story and conducted a Bible quiz with the senior members of the Mission Band, Members of UCW Will Pack Bale McINTOSEI—Mrs. Jack Fer- guson was hostess for the May meeting of the McIntosh U.C.W. which opened with the hymn, "For the Beauty of the Earth". The devotions, "Family Life", were taken by Mrs. Jack Inglis. The president was in charge of the business. The roll call was "A mother of the Bible and why she is mentioned". Brief reports were given by the chairman of community friend- ship and flowers committee, literature and periodical, quilting comn;tttcc and supply and assistance. The ladies were reminded that a bale will be pace<ed at the June meeting. For the study program, Mrs. Robert Wood read part of the chapter "The Living God" from "The Word and The Way". Mrs, Gordon Wright led in prayer. Mrs. Robert McComb read "The Islands Between" and "Inter -related Yet Distinct" from "On Asia's Rini". Mrs. McComb conducted a contest while pencil was being prepared. Lunch was served by Mts. Jack Wright, Mrs, Jack Inglis and Mrs. Leonard harper. Our customers deserve and get the very best!
