The latter remained for a long- er visit. Miss Nancy Newton, London, was also a week -end guest at the same home. Miss Gertrude Bush visited with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ed- gar, Wingham, one day last week. Miss Lynne Wright spent the week -end with her grandmother, Mrs. Margaret Wright, Gorrie. Visitors during the week and week -end with Mr, and Mrs. Russell Walker were, Mr. Ken- neth Walker and son of Galt; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Busby and family, Mildmay; Mr. and Mrs. Lee Miller, Ayr; Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Weppler, Chesley. We are sorry to hear Mrs. I. Davey was removed to hospital by ambulance on Monday. We hope she will soon be able to return home. Misses Karin and Kathryn Galbraith of Wingham spent Easter week with their grand- parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Doig. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bennett, Merle and John of London, visit- ed isited Mrs. F. F. Wright on Sunday. Mrs. A. Wearing has return- ed to her teaching duties after spending Easter week at her home here. • Miss Karen Gibson, who has spent the past week with Mr. and Mrs. George Gibson, has returned to Toronto. Misses Agnes and Myrtle Cardiff, Brussels, visited dur- ing Easter week with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wheeler. Miss Ann Douglas, Bill and Paul Higgins have returned to their teaching duties after spending the Easter vacation at their homes. Mothers Are Entertained by Messengers WROXETER--A good attend- ance of Messenger members were present at their Easter meeting on Wednesday after- noon, when the members enter- tained their mothers. The meeting opened with Anne Douglas playing quiet music. Lance Gibson, presi- dent, gave the call to worship. The messenger hymn, motto and pryaer were sung and re- peated by all. Ronald Louttit and Alex Adams read the Scrip- ture about the Easter story in two parts, following with pray- er by Jean Adams. Thirty members answered the roll call by naming an Easter hymn. The offering was taken by Lynda Sharpin and Kevin Town- send and dedicated by all. Mrs. Fred Taylor spoke to the children in an interesting anner, telling the story and emphasizing the true meaning of Easter, with the use of concrete material. This was followed by a film, "Peter, the Flying Eagle", shown by Anne Douglas, who also read the commentary. During the afternoon, musi- cal selections were played by Debbie Townsend, Glenis Gib- son, Rickey Clarke, Brenda Townsend and Jean Adams; motion sang and action rhyme by the juniors; playlet on Eas- ter by seniors; reading by Mur- ray Gibson and chorus singing "Easter Bunnies Parade." In a letter from the Cana- dian Bible Society, thanks was expressed for the used postage stamps sent by the Messengers this year. Three Hundred and thirty-five dollars, was realized from this project in Canada alone this year. After the program, lunch was served at which time Mrs. Art Gibson expressed apprecia- tion on behalf of the mothers for the invitation to join with the messengers for their April meeting.
