Father of Three
Dies Suddenly
WROXETER—Rev. F. Taylor
conducted funeral service at
the Moir funeral home last
Wednesday afternoon for Elvin
Roy Oakley.
Pallbearers were Gordon and
Crawford Gibson, Clarke Shar-
pin, Art Gibson, Art Wheeler
and Bill Harrison.
Mr. Oakley, 41, suffered a
fatal heart attack on Monday,
March 18, and died in Wing -
ham and District Hospital. He
is survived by his wife, the
former Audrey Ridley, two
daughters, Ruth Ann 10, Cathy
9 and a son, Ian 5.
He was born in Medonte
Township and was the son of
Mrs. Florence Oakley of Cold-
water and the late Mr. Oakley.
He married his wife in Tees -
water in June, 1951. He had
been a resident of Wroxeter
since 1954.
Surviving besides his wife
and family and his mother are
sisters Mrs. Morris (Catherine)
Scott, Mrs. Charlotte Justin,
Mrs. Joseph ( Christine) Briggs,
Mrs. Joseph (Muriel) Garry and
a brother, Clarence, all of
Orillia.

Presented
FORDWICH—A presentation
and dance was held Friday
night in the community hall in
honour of Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Foster, who were recently
married.
Jim Patterson read the ad-
dress and the young couple was
presented with a vacuum clean-
er and a purse of money. Lynn
and Jack thanked everyone.
Music for dancing was supplied
by Lorne Lambkin's orchestra.
Attends Meeting
At Royal York
FORDWICH—Elmer Harding
was in Toronto on March 21
and 22 for the annual meeting
of the Ontario Hog Producers'
°ssociation and the Ontario
Illirriog Producers' Marketing Board
held in the Royal York Hotel.
The meeting was well attended
by producer delegates and
committeemen for the election
of provincial directors.
Huron County was represent-
ed by all 19 committeemen
elected.
