Kinettes Seek Help
of local Housewives
Signalling the start of the
190 'larch of Dimes Cam-
paign, the Wingharn Kinette
Club today called on the wo-
rncn of Wingham to volunteer
their services for the Mothers'
March scheduled for Monday,
January, 28.
"We Kinettes can think of
no better way of beginning the
New Year than by taking part
in this annual drive to help dis-
abled Canadians to a useful
role in society.
"As housewives, we have
often heard friends say they
wish they could do something
important for the community -
something that would give them
a sense of real accomplishment
apart from their domestic duties
Well, here is the chance they
have been waiting for, }fere is
an opportunity to participate in
a province-wide.undertaking
which benefits literally thous-
ands of handicapped people.
"And the whole thing is so
easy. All that is required is
one hour of a person's time
spent visiting friends and neigh-
bours in one's own area. What
could be simpler and yet mean
more to more people!
We trust that every wife and
mother who possibly can will
sign up for the Mothers' March
by telephoning Mrs. Cal Burke,
357-18?4.

The January meeting of the
Women's Missionary Society
of St. Andrew's Presbyterian
Church was presided over by
the president, Mrs. W. Mur-

ship a hymn was sung, Miss
McLauglin read the Scripture
and gave some thoughts for the
New Year, followed by prayer
by Mrs. W. McKague.
The business was discussed
and the offering was received
and dedicated by Mrs. N; Fry.
A Christmas letter from Miss
Dorothy Douglas of Formosa
was read by the secretary, Mrs.
Keith.

were given by Mrs. Rae, Miss
A. Mitchell, Miss K. Pringle,

to the wide and varied program
of the missionary work of our
church.

by Mrs. R. Galbraith.
