Schae- fer, Mr. Paul Schaefer and Miss Betty McClement spent Christmas Day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Max Roesman in Brantford. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Millar and family spent New Year's Day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Drew Aitcheson in Elora. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Colier of Gormley, Mr. and Mrs, Glenn Caller and Kenneth of New Hamburg and Mr. Lloyd Colier of Kitchener spent the holidays at the home of their Mrs. J. McCallum Died on Monday Mrs. John E. McCallum of Belgrave passed away in St. Joseph's Hospital, London, on Monday after a short illness. She was 74 years of age. The former Edith Myrtle Bruce, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alexan- der Bruce, and was born in East Wawanosh Township, She was married at Belgrave on March 29th, 1910, to Mr. Mc- Callum, who survives. They farmed until 1945, when they retired to reside in Belgrave. Mrs. Bruce was a member of Knox United Church in that village. She is survived by one Baugh. ter, Mrs. George W. (Eileen) Jones, of London; four sisters, Mrs. Emmanuel Stapleton and Mrs. John F. McCallum, Bel - grave, Mrs. Richard Chamney and Mrs. Harry Campbell, Wingham; and two brothers, Milton Bruce of Blyth and Athol Bruce, Belgrave. There are two grandchildren. • Service was conducted at the R. A. Currie & Sons funeral home in Wingham on Thursday at two o'clock, with her minis- ter, Rev. J. H. Anderson, in charge. Interment was at the Wingham Cemetery. Pall- bearers were Jim McCallum, Bill Nethery, Albert Cook, Bill Black, Arnold Bruce and Elmer Bruce. The many floral tribu- tes were carried by Mark Arm- strong and Lewis Stonehouse. Mr. Bob Bride spent Friday in London, Master Donnie Bender of Palmerston visited last week with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Stan Forester. Miss Leslie Campbell spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Patterson in Toronto. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Reed and sons spent Christmas Day with Mr. and Mrs. Alex Wray in Toronto. Friends of Mr. Holger Espen - sen will be glad to hear he re- turned home last week from St. Joseph's Hospital, London, where he recently underwent major surgery. Week -end and Christmas visitors with Mrs, Martha Baker were, Mr. Gary Giles of Nia- gara Falls, Mr. and Mrs. El- mer Giles of Arkona and Mr. and Mrs, Bruce Giles of London, Mrs. Baker returned to Arkona, where she will spend a month, and also visit in Ottawa with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Baker, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Mc- Dermitt spent one day last week in Kitchener. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Siefert of Rexdale visited over the holi- days with Mr.,. and Mrs, Lorne Siefert. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Gold - rich of London and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Longstaffe of Tor- onto were Christmas visitors with Mr, and Mrs. Anson Dem- erling. Mr. and Mrs. Jaok Gibson and little son of Toronto spent the week -end and Christmas with Mr. and Mrs, Doug Holt. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Me - Patricia D. Bryans, Brussels, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Bryans of Windsor and Maurice Wayne Cameron, son of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Cameron of R. R. 3, Brussels, were mar- ried in St, John's Anglican Church, Brussels, by Rev. H. L. Jennings. The bride was given in mar- riage by her father. She wore a floor -length dress of Chan- tilly lace and nylon net, fea- turing a long torso bodice with glittered sabrina neckline and long lily -point sleeves. The full bouffant skirt with lace panel was worn over a ruffled tiered under -skirt of bridal sa- tin. She carried a bouquet of red roses, white mums and trailing ivy. Her attendants, Miss Dianne Jackson of Wingham, and Mis- ses Carol and Lorna Bryans of Windsor were attired in royal blue brocaded dresses withbal- loon skirts and white acces- sories. Lori McCutcheon of Brussels was flower girl and Blaine Mc- Cutcheon was ring bearer. The best man was Garth Walden of Blyth and the ushers were Glenn Plant, Kitchener and Charles Geddes, Seaforth. Mrs. Bevan Elliott was the organist and Thomas Strachan was soloist. Guests were pre- sent from Sarnia, Toronto, Windsor, Welland, London, Listowel, Wingham, Seaforth and Kitchener. The reception was in the church parlor, where the bride's mother received. She wore marine blue chiffon over taf- feta and cerise accessories. The groom's mother assisted, Dermitt, Mrs. Glenn Johnson and Mrs. Emma Williamson visited last week with many former residents who are now residing at Huronview Home, Clinton. Week -end and Christmas visitors with Mrs. Earl Ridley were Mr, Earl Ridley, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Ridley and family of London and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Lynn, Karen and Judy of Orillia. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Gal-_ braith of Guelph spent Christ- mas with Mrs. Verna Galbraith and Mrs. Elsie Strong. Mr. Paul Schaefer of Toronto is spending the Christmas vaca- tion with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. J, Schaefer. Mr. Jack Doig of St. Cath- arines spent the week -end with Mr. and Mrs. Ross Doig, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Doig were also Sunday visitors at the same home. Her accessories were black and white. Each had a corsage of white mums. The bride's travelling en- semble was a dress of beige brocaded satin with matching accessories, topped with a brown borg coat. Prior to her marriage, Mrs. Cameron received many beauti- ful gifts at a shower held at the Brussels Library. The hostesses were Mary Harman, Dianne Jackson, Esther Mc- Cutcheon and Sharon Jones. Contests were conducted and a mock wedding performed. Taking part in the mock wed- ding were Barbara, Betty, Lois and Esther McCutcheon, Mar- garet Smith, all aunts of the bride, and Lois McCarter. The gifts were presented by Lori, Pauline, Vonne and Cheryl Mc- Cutcheon, cousins of the bride. During the evening the bride - elect, her mother, and her grandmother, Mrs. McCutch- eon, and the groom -elect's mother and grandmother, were presented with corsages. The guest of honor also received a bride's book and imitation wed- ding cake. The staff of the Toronto Dominion Bank also gave the bride a pair of dresser lamps. Mr. and Mrs. Barry Walters and children of Goderich, Mrs. Cecil Chamney, Wingham, and Alan Thompson, spent Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Chamney.
