The principal partner in Organic Farm Services of Heidelberg, Ontario is Tomas Nimmo. He brings his experi- ence in manufacturing, distributing, and retailing (Greenleaf Whole Foods) as well as in organic certification develop- ment and organic grains exporting (Oak Manor Farms) to the company. Organic Farm Services specializes in total market support for the develop- ment and promotion of organic foods. "Organic Farm Services is creating unprecedented opportunity for produc- tion -minded farmers, processors, and commodity groups to develop the ag- gressive and hungry market which we've all been waiting years for," Nimmo says. The company maintains a data base of more than 10,000 names, including press contacts, organic farmers, fertil- izer manufacturers, and food stores. Other services are confidential con- sulting, public relations campaigns, representation, fundraising, brochure design, and the preparation of articles for retail store newsletters. The company charges standard con- sulting rates of $400 a day plus expenses and is setting up a fee structure ranging from "no charge" for a simple letter and a few fact sheets to contract perform- ance charges for large projects.
