REACHING 75 TOGETHER
AND
In the fall of 1913, two traditions in Ontario agriculture got their start, the Plowing
Match and the Co-op. Although the United Farmers Co-operative Company was not
formally incorporated until 1914, its origins began with a meeting of the four founders,
W.C. Good, J.J. Morrison, E.C. Drury, and J.Z. Frazer, in October of 1913. From this
start, the United Co-operatives of Ontario and the Ontario Co-op system developed.
