HILL RECEIVES TOMMY COOPER AWARD
Don Hill, past president of the Grey County Federation of Agriculture and recently
elected president of the Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association, receives the
Tommy Cooper Award from Eric Nixon of radio station CFOS-CFPS at the Grey
County Federation of Agriculture's "Meet the Members" dinner last month. Hill is
shown with his wife, Ruth, and family. The award, named after a former agricultural
representative, recognizes contributions to agriculture in the Grey -Bruce area. Pres-
ent at the dinner to hear briefs from local agricultural groups were Bruce -Grey MP Gary
Gurbin, Grey-Simcoe MP Gus Mitges, and Grey MPP Ron Lipsett.
"FREE TRADE TALK" DRAWS LOCAL CROWD
At the Huron West Central Federation of Agriculture's annual meeting in Varna
recently, Ross Daily of CFPL-TV in London did what every good journalist does: gave
both sides. His talk on free trade drew about 180 people. On the left is Huron
