The Rural Voice is pleased to announce the winners of its 10th annual competition for the art, writing, and poetry
of young people. It is always a pleasure to receive the entries—a cascade of colours, farm creatures, thoughts, people
at work, observations, fears, humour, family stories, and hope. Obviously, life on the farm is inspiring.
The entries for art, writing, and poetry were judged in three age groups: 7 and under, 8 to 11, and 12 to 16. In
each category, first prize is $20, second prize is $10, and third prize is $8. In some classes the entries were so rich
that we couldn't let them go by without an honourable mention. Congratulations to all of you who participated.
