Townsman, 1991-02, Page 23smiling on the betrothed couple.
Kathy explained, they had chosen
the Saturday as the date for their
wedding, but after taking into
Idyllic surroundings
for ceremony
consideration the distance the
guests would have to travel they
opted instead for a Sunday cere-
mony. It couldn't have worked out
better," said Kathy. "Saturday was
an absolutely horrible day; it rained
constantly. Sunday was gorgeous; a
perfect day."
Having wed in idyllic surround-
ings, there seemed no reason for
the honeymoon to be elsewhere.
Kathy says the day after the
wedding she and John, with the
help from a couple of friends,
opened wedding gifts. "Then the
rest of the week we simply hung
around the cottage."
In the years since their wedding
day. the Hunts have moved to a
house in a rural setting, about 13
miles from Listowel. John is now
co-owner of a veterinary practice,
where Kathy helps out two days a
week. The rest of the time, she is
busy raising their young family of
four: Carla, eight; Bryce, six; Brett,
three and Cavli, six months.
