ELECTION MEETING
The HCFA hosted an all -
candidate's meeting at Hullett Central
School in Londesboro on August 24.
The three candidates drew numbers
to decide the order of presentations:
Progressive Conservative Nico Peters
spoke first, followed by Liberal Jack
Riddell and New Democrat Paul Klopp.
Questions were taken from the
floor. Some topics discussed were: free
trade, government subsidies, high auto
insurance, marketing boards, waste
management sites, industrialization in
Huron County, bilingualism in Ontario,
the OMAF office in Clinton and its
extension, water pollution, expansion of
Hwy. 8, affordable living, Right to Farm
legislation, FCC loans, and the Begin-
ning Farmer Assistance Program.0
