GAUGE MONITORS
SPRAY APPLICATION
A simple, inexpensive liquid -flow
monitor with no electronics to short
out or mechanical parts to corrode is
being distributed in Ontario by Francis
Hogan of R. R. 7, Lucknow.
The Redball Spray Monitor is
simply a gang of four transparent
plastic vessels containing a red ball in
each. As the liquid flows through the
vessels the balls float at various
heights according to the velocity of the
liquid. If a nozzle is plugged or
restricted, the ball moves to a different
level, indicating to the operator where
the problem is.
The units can be grouped in mul-
tiples of four to serve any number of
rows or nozzles. In the case of six
rows, for example, two vessels can be
blocked off. Squeeze -pump models are
available in two and four -row gangs.
