The Rural Voice, 1987-03, Page 43Animals on the Farm
My favourite animal on
the farm is a horse.
A female horse is the
easiest to train.
I know two things
about chickens. One
is brown eggs are the
best to eat. Anyway
that is what my 40
brother says. Also
when you walk near
chickens they will
run away. Now let's
see about cows. I know
two things about cows,
too. One, they give
good milk. Two, they
look nice. Horses
chickens cows. They're
fun to learn about but
I like horses best.

Field
A field is a pretty thing 4
Cattle lay in it and sing
"Every day starts off with a moo"
And the sky is coloured blue.
In it grows barley and wheat
To the cows a field is neat
The farmer isn't happy to know
His field will soon become Toronto.
