Like the leaves that become beautiful and return to the earth to make room for new life, so did my Dad. With every birthday, with every Christmas and all the holidays in between we will miss him so very much. It seems that Kim Cornell thought that one up. The Farm Beautification entries were judged and the winner for the most improved farmstead went to Ted and Deb Zimmerman; they also received a first for Farm -Gateway entrance. Previous winners for best maintained farm gateway went to Ralph and Jacquelyn Hunsperger. Most attractive rural home award went to Dan and Peggy Dorie of Stratton. Most attractive rural/residential home award went to Dan and Kathleen Loney of Emo. Next year, the Rainy River Agricultural Society and the Rainy River Federation of Agriculture will allow nomination of a neighbour or someone you think deserves it.
