Fashion Stage and the Family
Lifestyles Food Stage, and the
antiques area. Each day will feature
artists from a different areas of
the county. Tuesday, for
instance, will feature the central
area of the county with the
Seaforth Girls Band. the
Central Huron Secondary
School Cheer -leaders, school
choirs, cloggers and country
music.
The days of the CKNX Barn
Dance will be renewed as part
of the entertainment from the
northern part of the county on
Wednesday. The Wingham
Heritage Theatre will also
provide fiddle and step dancing
entertainment.
Goderich's Celtic Festival
will be a centrepiece of
entertainment from the A 40 -by -8 -foot mural by Allen Hilgendorf will be a
Goderich area on Thursday. centrepiece of the Huron County Showcase.
Grand Bend's Huron
Country Playhouse will be the Festival will be the focal point at the

Saturday, the county's other
professional theatre, the Blyth
and actor Ted Johns performing
excerpts from his one-man play, The
Great School Crisis of '99, which has
been a hit of the Festival this
summer. The Blyth Festival Singers
and the Blyth Festival Orchestra will
perform and the Festival's Young
Company, made up of
young, talented, local
actors will perform.
Over at the Family
Lifestyles area, at the east
end of the Tented City,
five huge tents will host
arts and crafts, food
demonstrations, fashions,
quilts and child care
facilities.
The huge, 80 by 200 -
foot arts and crafts
tent, called the
"Crafter's Cove", is fully
booked with 65 vendors
offering a wide range of
crafts including floral
arrangements, wood-
working, paintings and
photography.
Winning quilts from the
quilting contest will be
displayed in "Quilt Haven", the quilt
tent. Also on display will be wall -
hangings and wearable art. Quilting
demonstrations will take place, each
day highlighting a different
technique. Raffle quilts will also be
on display and tickets will be stild
with quilts for first and second prizes
and a wall -hanging as third prize.
The fashion tent is called the
• "West Coast Fashion Chalet" and
will feature four fashion shows each
day and entertainment three or four
times a day. There will even be an
exercise program to get the day off to
an energetic start. Also on view in
this tent are interior design, floral
design and landscape design.
The food tent, called "Heaping
Helping of Huron", will have a
different theme each day. It will start
off with maple products the first day
and go through topics like weddings
and special occasions, Thanksgiving
and a heaping helping of Huron on
Saturday. There will also be
entertainment at various times
throughout the day.
To allow parents more time to
enjoy these and other events, the
"Kids Kottage" will be set up,
featuringa play area for arts and
