The main destination for most visitors to the International Plowing Match
is the tented city (above at last year's match) where everything from a
ballet by front-end loaders to fashion shows can be seen. — Photos by

They call it the Plowing Match
but for most people the sights
to see are not among the
straight furrows of the competitors
but in the streets of the Tented City.
Here it's a chance to show off, both
for exhibitors trying to show the
value of their products to the
expected attendance of 100,000
people and by the county itself which
wants people to learn more about the
area and to show its pride in its
accomplishments.
Huron County wants to show off
its best with the Huron County
Showcase, on the west side of the
Tented City. Committee organizers
wanted to incorporate all aspects of
the county in their exhibit into a
unified theme so that visitors came as
close as possible to a stroll through
