The dream of bringing agriculture and tourism
together took another step forward in Huron
County in late September when the Huron
Harvest Trail was unveiled. Organizers were
overwhelmed
when 75 farms
and food -related
businesses
signed up for the
program which
will provide
tourists with maps
and a chance to
visit the places
that grow their
food on the
country
concessions.

THE MAGAZINE OF THE AGRICULTURAL INDUSTRY
Come October even busy farmers often spare a few minutes
to admire the glorious colour of their maple bush off in the
distance but usually that's as close as they get until they are
short on money and they realize there's a source of quick cash
in the bush. It's an attitude that could cost them money, says
Gary Millar, an American forester who spoke to the Provincial
Agroforestry Conference in Woodstock.
