Buffalo are not the kind of livestock for
everyone, but for people who like animals that
are independent, they can be just the ticket.
They are for Aaron and Arlene Mountain of
Dornock in Grey
County. They
have a herd of 50
roaming their
pastures beside
the lake. The
Mountains like
the way the
animals fit into
their natural
lifestyle, as well
as providing their
livelihood.

THE MAGAZINE OF THE AGRICULTURAL INDUSTRY
Led by Huron County producers, Ontario egg producers have
formed another of those new generation co-operatives to
process eggs. Though in the early stages yet, the co-op hopes
to find a partner for a joint venture so that egg producers can
reap some of the rewards of further processing. The move is
spurred by the knowledge that table egg demand has been
dropping while industrial use is increasing.
