Financial and production
information are combined in the
enterprise reports. The project will
report actual yields of crops as well
as the cost at which they are
produced. Monitoring these and
other indicators will help producers
find ways to increase profits.
Remaining competitive means
keeping up with the competition.
The report allows farms to make two
valuable comparisons. How well am
I doing compared to other farmers?
How do I compare to myself in
previous years? Individual farm
reports provide the farmer's own
report and a five-year historical
report showing the trends in a
number of key business indicators.
The provincial report gives
provincial averages as well as a five-
year trend report for the province.
Completing the project takes a
few hours of a farmer's time and
provides a wealth of management
information. Also available is
OFMAP-ON-DISK which will
permit anyone who has a computer
with Lotus 1-2-3 to input farm
financial and production data to
generAte a set of farm analysis
reports. This means that the
information can be available
immediately, so management
decisions can be put into place
sooner.
