BANANA SPLIT
1 scoop vanilla ice cream
1 scoop chocolate chunk almond
ice cream
1 scoop strawberry ice cream
1 large banana
1 tbsp (15 mL) light peach or other
fruit spread
1 tbsp (15 mL) hot fudge sauce
1 tbsp (15 mL) raspberry sauce
1 tbsp (15 mL) chopped toasted
almonds
whipped cream
1 cookie (Florentine, brandy snap
roll or wafer fan)
Slice banana lengthwise and place
rounded side out along sides of a
boat -style sundae dish. Put 1 scoop
each vanilla, chocolate and
strawberry ice cream in dish. Top
vanilla with peach spread, top
chocolate with fudge sauce and
strawberry with raspberry sauce.
Sprinkle with chopped toasted
almonds. Decorate with whipped
cream and cookie lightly pressed into
centre scoop.
FROSTY PEACH CREAM
SODAS
1/2 cup (125 mL) whipping cream
1 tbsp (15 mL) granulated sugar
2 tsp (10 mL) peach schnapps
(optional)
6 peeled, pitted and finely
chopped peaches
6 scoops vanilla ice cream
club soda
In medium bowl, whip cream; beat
in sugar and peach schnapps; set
aside. Divide peaches between six
12 -ounce glasses. To each glass, add
1 scoop of ice cream and fill glasses
with club soda. Top each with 2 tbsp
(25 mL) whipped cream. Garnish
with additional peach slices,
maraschino cherries or fresh mint if
desired.
MOCHACCINO SHAKE
3 to 4 tsp (15 to 20 mL) rich blend
instant coffee granules
1 tbsp (15 mL) warm water
1/3 cup (75 mL) milk
1 tbsp (15 mL) chocolate syrup
2 medium scoops vanilla or
chocolate ice cream
In 1 -cup (250 mL) measure,
