Sono -Grader, a programmable,
hand-held battery operated
device that utilizes ultrasonic
technology to measure backfat
and loin muscle.
Data is available from a
readout or it can be uploaded to
a computer. The Sono -Grader
can record, display and store
animal identification, pen
number, user defined code,
weight and data from loin and
fat sites. The unit is powered by
a battery with a ten-year
lifetime. Data input is done with
a high quality keypad. The
Sono -Grader has a capacity of
2000 animals.

Knapps ' has top
safes in Canada
Knapps' Department Store in
Listowel recently received an
award from the Drew Shoe
Corporation of Lancaster, Ohio
for having the top sales in
Canada of orthopedic footwear
for the 10th year in succession.
This means the Knapp store,
in Listowel with a population of
5200, is selling more orthopedic
shoes than are specialized
dealers in large cities like
Toronto and Vancouver.
According to Ken Knapp,
who manages the orthopedic
department, the secret of his
store's success is carrying more
styles, and lasts (foot shapes)
and widths than many stores.
"Most retail stores just do not
carry a complete line and cannot
service every prescription," said
Mr. Frisch of Drew Shoe.
"Knapp's carries lines that are
used very rarely."0
