The Rural Voice, 1996-06, Page 63if GREY County Federation of Agriculture NEWSLETTER 446 10th St., Hanover, Ontario N4N 1 P9 519-364-3050 • The Rural Voice is provided to all Grey County Farmers by the GCFA. GCFA information at the touch of a button The Grey County Federation of Agriculture (GCFA) has had a WWW site on the internet since November 1995 and I felt now that we are going into our seventh month, it would be an appropriate time to do an assessment and review. For those that haven't had the opportunity to visit our site, it consists of a "Home Page" that informs visitors about our mission statement, who we are and some of the issues that we arc dealing with in Grey County. There is also a list of our affiliate members, which will act as a link to their sites in the future. One of our affiliate members is Markct Grey -Bruce who, at their annual meeting, approved the development of a website along with the internet version of the "Green Pages". Anyone interested in having a spot in the "Internet Green Pages" should contact Lori Leask at 1-800- 275-9551. As well as the Home Page there is an editorial/news page for news and comments about GCFA activities. It is hopcd that Federation members will participate in contributing to this page. Also included in the site is the visitor "guest book" where we invite visitors to sign in, and leave a note or a comment. We have had mail from all over the world, a request from someone in the Ukraine for 10 thousand tonnes of Canadian wheat, past area residents who have moved what is going on in the county, and local people glad to have the opportunity to be in easy contact with the Federation. We will be updating and adding to the site on a regular basis. The spring edition of the news is on now.
