For this year's 13th edition of the
Agrifair, in an attempt to make it
even more convenient for people, the
committee has changed the show
from Tuesday and Wednesday to
Thursday evening (5 - 9 p.m.), Friday
(noon to 9 p.m.) and Saturday, (9
a.m. to 3:30 p.m.)
"Farming has changed a lot in 13
years," Dricdger says. "There arc a
lot more people working off the farm
these days and it was difficult for
them to get to the show during the
daytime."
The show's crowds over the years
have come from across Grey and
Bruce, as far east as Mount Forest
and Listowel and as far south as
Godcrich. One of the attractions is
the fact it's a local show. "It's a

chance to see your local dealers,"
Driedgcr says.
For livestock producers, the fact
the show is in the middle of a heavy
livestock farming arca makes it
attractive compared to some shows
where cash cropping is more the
emphasis. Because of this there is a
full range of feed and supplement
dealers. Some of these companies
have been coming for years and they
find it a good show for talking
business with farmers.
For his own company, Dricdgcr
figures it's one of the most cost-
effective shows he attends. The
booth rental is about half that of
London and one-sixth that of
Toronto, he says. It gives smaller
dealers a chance to appeal to the
local audience whcn they couldn't
afford one of the big shows.
Johnson, who has also displayed
at other shows, also likes the low
cost compared to a big show like
Toronto. Over the years dealers have
