"We went out and hustled
and rented every booth,"
Johnson recalls. There was no
trouble selling all 120 booths, he
says. There never has been since
either, with people on a waiting
list to get space in the Agrifair.
The attendance that first year
was tremendous too, but Johnson
recalls some problems later on
because nice weather in April had
farmers thinking about outside work
rather than going to a farm show (and
of course the fact the arena's busy in
winter means the show can't be held
earlier in the year). That's when they
began starting the show Tater in the
