When he judges at the 1995 International Plowing Match in Waterloo Region, it will mark 60 years since his first appearance at the match as an 18 -year-old competitor. Since then he has won the top award as a plowman, judged, coached, and acted as the local committee chairman when Bruce County first hosted the match in 1976.
